WW1 Pressed Flowers Hand Crafted Postcard - Thoughts

Message on reverse states "Dearie. This is how I have occupied my time tonight, Love Lucy. These 3 grew in our garden. I'm sorry the card is soiled but it was given to me me like it." To front initials L.A.W. dated 6th June 1915.

The card does looks soiled but the flowers are original pansies and look just like the ones you can still grow today. I thought this was due to age, being over 100 years old, but Lucy admits on the reverse the card was already soiled. I guess you work with what you are given!
