Die struck, browning copper glengarry badge with two original loops as worn by the 134th (48th Highlanders) (Toronto) Battalion C.E.F. An eagle's head, number, "134" and " Overseas " scroll to the centre of a strap bearing the Gaelic motto with the title scrolls., '48th Highlanders') and 'Canada'. Whilst there is no maker's details, the slight wavy pattern (which has been deemed a die flaw) on the bottom edge of the bottom scroll is typical of Ellis made versions of this badge. These are also featured on the example illustrated in Cox. Circa 58mm tall.
