RADC / QARANC Trained Class 1 Dental Hygienist Army Breast Badge
Made from unmarked nickel silver with a black / darkened oxidised finish. With original and functional pin fitting. Often referred to as the 'Dustbin Lid' due to it's size. Circa 43mm in diameter. In very good condition and with sharp detail.
This Dental Hygienist Class 1 badge was authorised in 1955. Entitlement: RADC and qualified QARANC personnel attached to RADC units. Worn on the left breast of the working overall. They were allowed to be retained by the recipient on leaving the service. Ceased to be issued in 1972.
