Early - Mid Victorian North Lincoln Militia Officer's Silver Plated Tunic Button, no 8 to centre of cross.
Circa 22mm in diameter, fixed shank, maker marked Firmin & Sons, 153 Strand, London (this format of backmark was only used between 1835 and 1849). A pre 1855 pattern button without the rim. Shank slightly bent over, silver plate dark toned and on highpoints worn to base metal, otherwise in good condition and scarce.
The Regiment had the precedence number "8" from 1833 until 1855.
