WW2 Home Front Friends War Victims Relief Enamel & Gilt Lapel Pin Brooch

A scarce enamelled lapel badge with original and functional brooch pin fitting and makers details for Fattorini Birmingham to the reverse. The 'Quaker's Star' in red and black enamel to the centre of a white enamel circlet bearing the title. As Quakers, members of this organisation were opposed to violence and would not join the Armed Forces to be trained to kill, they did however train to drive ambulances and assist the ARP and the Red Cross in many other ways.
