Victorian 2nd Royal Lanark Militia Officers Badge

A scarce white metal officers badge, nicely domed. The Lanark Militia were originally formed in Napoleonic times. This badge stems from around the Crimean War. The 2nd were formed in 1854. They were later amalgamated into the 4th Battalion Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). The two loops (n-s) have been very neatly removed and a stout pin and clasp has been added, presumably for wear on the glengarry.
