WW2 Tyneside Scottish White Metal Glengarry Badge
A white metal die struck example with two original loops to the reverse. A saltire bearing a lion with one rear leg raised holding a pennon on top of a tower and the title scroll within a wreath of thistle. Given loops rather than a pin fitting, it was most probably worn in WW2 by the DLI / Black Watch / RA incarnations of the Tyneside Scottish. This pattern resealed with loops in 1940. In very good condition.
Col D R Wood No 450 refers.
