WW1 Household Brigade Officer Cadet Battalion (OCB) Guards Enamel Cap Badge

Good scarce die-cast bronze and white enamel example, worn 1917-19 only. Loops removed and replaced with pin and clasp fitting. Touch of verdigris to reverse. White enamel in good undamaged condition. Slight bevel to edge. A genuine example of a hard to find badge; much copied. Conversion to a sweetheart is reflected in the price.

The lettering relates to the initial letters of the titles of the composite Guards Regiments:

1st Life Guards, 2nd Life Guards, Royal Horse Guards, Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots, Irish and Welsh Guards:
