WW2 Medal Group Captain Tom Livesay Foxcroft, 10th Gurkha Rifles - PoW North Africa
New to market, a boxed set of three medals to Captain T. L. Foxcroft with original entitlement slip confirming the entitlement and his service number as EC1418. A classic PoW group, no Defence Medal nor other campaign stars. Includes internet research confirming his being a prisoner in the hands of the Italians and held in camp No 21. One record dated 1943 shows his unit as the IAOC, but two later records confirm him as 10 GR; presumably the 2nd Battalion. Born in Grimsby in 1906. Medals sent to a Bombay, India address in 1950 addressed to him and noting him to be an "area manager". Some damage to front of box, but address still legible. Worthy of further research, especially the occasion and date of his capture. Any information welcome.
