Victorian 1st Argyll Highland Rifle Volunteers Other Ranks White Metal Glengarry Badge, 1880 - 1887

Unvoided with two long original lugs to the reverse. Cat with tail up. Circle carries the title of the unit "1st Argyll Highland Rifle Volunteers ". Circa 7.9cms tall. Some wear and bending to lugs otherwise sharp detail and lightly domed, a lovely example.

The 1st Admin Battalion was consolidated as the 1st Argyllshire Highland Rifle Volunteers in 1880 and then designated as the 5th Volunteer Battalion Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders in 1887.
