17/21st Lancers (Duke of Cambridge's Own) NCO's White Metal Arm Motto / Chadd

Die struck with two original loops to the reverse (east - west). Finish looks like silver plated but unmarked. Complete with "eyebrows" - see my item 67626 for an example with "sans eyebrows"! In superb condition with sharp detail.

Linaker & Dine P139 states that by 1929, when corporals started to wear them, white metal mottoes displaced most of the hallmarked silver mottoes.
