WW1 The First New Zealand Expeditionary Force (NZEF) Large Gilding Metal Cap Badge - Reinforcements

Thinly die struck cap badge, Circa 4.7cms tall and 3.7cms wide, With two original loops to reverse. Worn from August 1916 when compulsory service was introduced. Sharp detail in very good condition and quite scarce.

Worn by soldiers serving with the later Reinforcements (34th - 47th Reinforcements), with the exception of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, who had their own cap badge.
