Royal Defence Corps (GV) 2nd Pattern Cap Badge - Officers?

Second pattern version of this corps' cap badge, circular as usually encountered with GV cypher. This is die struck but in a bronze finish with two loops (east - west) rather than the usual slider. It is a good striking with crisp detail front and back. Put out there for comment initially. Would the officers of the corps worn the same badge as the other ranks but n an OSD format and on loops? Any information welcome.
