Fox Hunting Memorabilia - Master of the Hounds / Hunt Master's Whip

The top half of a hunt master or huntsman's whip, the leather loop at the bottom has small holes in it which would have had multiple long leather strips like a flail from which the huntsman could control the fox hounds from horseback. Weighted leather knotted end with gloss black painted shaft (some chipping to finish) and some wear to the leather loop but this is complete and firmly bound to the shaft. Early to Mid 20th Century in origin. Circa 72cms in length. Collectable / Display piece only.
