Scots Guards Officers Forage Cap Star Badge
A two-part constructed cap star silver plated and gilt brass with green translucent enamel to centre and an original stout pin and C clasp fitting to the rear, a fitment also for a safety chain, now absent. Die cast and of two part construction. Stamped "Sterling" and maker marked "Ludow" (who made officer's badges in the 1930s and 1940s). Circa 5cms across. Worn on the Glengarry and Balmoral cap. A WW2 worn example with some dulled gilt (now looks brass) and silver plate dark toned otherwise in good worn condition with no damage to the enamel.
