WW2 Scottish 5th Battalion King's Own Scottish Borderers (KOSB) Soldier in Battledress Portrait Original B&W Photograph 52nd (Scottish Lowland) Division Combination plus proficiency badges
A rare original image removed from frame and mounted on paper. Not able to see any name to the reverse. WW2 or immediately thereafter, the combination is a square / diamond(?) of tartan, 52nd (Scottish Lowland) Division two part formation sign, three arm of service strips below indicating the 5th Battalion. Further down his sleeve is his signaller's arm badge, an "SP" in laurel wreath and he has a single good conduct stripe. He wears a single medal ribbon to his left breast, looks like that for the 1939-45 Star. Image itself has a matt finish, blank reverse and is smaller than postcard size at 8.5cms wide and just under 12cms tall. A wonderful original image new to market with some great cloth badges on display.
