ATS Attached Royal Corps of Signals Felt Cloth Formation Sign

Formed in October 1940 from ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Service), an all female unit who had eight months earlier replaced Royal Signals Teleprinter and telephone switchboard operators. In very good unissued condition, attached to a hessian backing.
