3rd Carabiniers (Prince of Wales's Dragoon Guards) Bi-Metal Cap Badge - Gladman & Norman

A bi-metal die struck cap badge with three expansion / braising / sweat holes to reverse and with original slider correctly marked with a genuine maker's mark in three lines, Gladman & Norman, Spencer Street, Birmingham 18. Touch of verdigris to left tip of coronet otherwise in good condition and scarce.

The 3rd and 6th Dragoon Guards were amalgamated in 1922 to form the 3rd Carabineers ( Prince of Wales's Dragoon Guards), and again in 1971 with the Royal Scots Greys to form the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabineers & Greys).
