Circa 22mm in diameter, small fixed shank, maker marked Miller & Son, Southampton to reverse.

Originally the Southampton Steam Shipping Company which was founded in England in 1853, it later became the Union Steam Ship Company and then the Union Line, and in 1900 merged with Castle Shipping Line to become Union-Castle Mail Steamship Company. Not to be confused with the NZ Union Steam Ship Company.

USS Co on strap with the central design of a fouled anchor and flag to the right is their trademark for the Union Steam Ship Company. In good overall condition.
