WW1 Home Front United Arts Volunteer Rifles VTF Enamel and Bronze Cap Badge

A scarce original First World War period 'United Arts Volunteer Rifles cap badge'; large bronzed oval surmounted by a small Maltese cross, with in the centre an eagle grasping a sword in its beak, on red enamel background. In very good condition, complete with original hairpin slider fitting, enamel undamaged. Maker's stamp behind slider, hard to read but these were made by Partridge of 59 Gt. Ormond St. W.C. Circa 4cms tall.
