A stunning example of this scarce lapel badge, enamel undamaged and gilt bright, original pin fitting and maker marked Geo F. Hamilton, 104 Leith Street, Edinburgh (Scotland). Circa 3.2cms tall. A cracker.

Not sure what the significance of the date 1911 is, but this coincides with the Great Scottish Exhibition of 1911 held in Glasgow, so it may be related to that in some respect. It as a sumptuous affair, see:
