WW1 Kingston Upon Hull Despatch Rider Special Constable Constabulary Police Enamel and Gilt Cap Badge - Dated 1915

A very rare cap badge with two original loops to the reverse and eintly maker marked JR Gaunt London. Enamel in good condition and intact.

Wilkinson & Cowdell 'Special Constabulary Insignia of England & Wales' (2nd Edn) p58, Fig 4 refers. Rare. This pattern also found with a buttonhole fixing for wear as a lapel badge.
