Special Air Service (SAS) Volunteers Lot

An unusual grouping, comprising a late 1960s issue beret badge which came with two A Squadron 23 SAS headed paper letters, one which responded to a request for their badge, and other with a two sided SAS history stapled to it, the reverse with terms of service for the volunteer or territorial SAS regiments which would have been common to 21 and 23 SAS.

I have blanked out the names and addresses, which will of course be made available on the originals to the buyer. The pink paper redactions are just laid over the letter and not part of it.

Just marks to paper from the paper clip which held the badge in place, now removed, but the imprint of the retaining paper clip to the reverse of the badge is still visible.

An unusual grouping with provenance for an original issue of a much-reproduced badge.
