1st Tynemouth Corps Northumberland Rifle Volunteers Officers and Sergeants Special Pattern Shoulder Belt Whistle & Chain Boss

There is a shoulder belt plate featured in Col Denis Woods book for this corps (No 356) which is in darkened bronze with two original screw posts and original retaining nuts to the reverse. It is assumed that this boss would actually accompany that item, with a darkened whistle, keep and chain in the same finish, the latter sadly absent. A rare pattern this this particular corps.
