5th Volunteer Battalion and later 5th Battalion (Territorials) Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) White Metal Glengarry Badge 1887 - 1897 &1908-20

An early scarce small die struck white metal cap glengarry badge with two original loops to reverse. A Mullet and a bugle horn with the number " 5 " between the strings within a wreath of thistle. Circa 4cms across and 3.8cms tall.

Gaylor (65) confirms this badge was also worn by the 5th Volunteer Battalion of the Regiment between 1887 and 1897. Given it is on loops, this would certainly fit with the earlier period of wear.
