WW1 Home Front - National Reserve County of Aberdeen (Scotland) home front badge
A rare original First World War period Scottish 'National Reserve County of Aberdeen gilded brass badge', blue enamel Crowned oval title bearing the crest of the 'Marquis of Huntly,' a stag's head issuing from a Ducal Coronet within yellow enamel oval bearing the motto 'Bydand'; the reverse impressed with unusual maker's details "JAS.Hardy & Co Aberdeen" "G.E.W". Very good condition, retaining original buttohole lapel fitting, enamel perfect, gilt remains crisp. Circa 3.8cms tall.
