2nd/ 9th Battalion Glasgow Highlanders White Metal Glengarry Badge (Blunted Ends Variety)

The 2nd Battalion Glasgow Highlanders (Highland Light Infantry) Die struck White Metal Cap Badge, King's Crown. St. Andrew to the centre of the Star of the Order of the Thistle with the crown above and the sphinx below. Double scrolls bear the titles, "The Glasgow Highlanders" and "Highland Light Infantry." In superb condition with two original loops to the reverse. Lacessit spelling.

According to Gaylor (p68), this blunted end version was made in Glasgow and worn only by the 2nd battalion. K&K claim it was sealed 13th April 1952, late on for a King's Crown variety.
