South Staffordshire Regiment Brass Collar Badge with Brown Holland Backing Cloth

A Staffordshire knot in die struck brass with two original loops to the reverse and a patch of backing cloth known as Brown Holland (a buff colour) which as a make do card stiffener. As worn from 1935. Churchill suggests as this is more cut to shape of the collar, it is most probably 2nd Battalion.
