Cheshire Regiment Militia / Volunteer Battalion Collar Badge

Die struck in white metal with two dark toned copper loops to the reverse. Does not appear to have been cut down from the glengarry circlet. Possibly also worn on the field service cap but Churchill is convinced they were worn as collar badges when in white metal by either the Militia and / or Volunteer Battalions pre 1908. Slight crease in top ray of uppermost point of the star otherwise in very good condition.
