A scarce original First World War period 'Royal Flying Corps sweetheart brooch', depicting a 'RFC cap badge style crest'; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1916 (letter r) and maker's details 'S&Co'. In very good condition, retaining original and functional pin fittings. Circa 25mm in diameter.
