Early Pattern Royal Air Force (RAF) Sterling Silver Sweetheart Brooch Pin Badge

A very attractive early issue Royal Air Force sweetheart pin brooch marked 925 R Sterling Silver.
The design is of an eagle bearing "RAF" and King's crown at the top. Large 3D hollow construction with original and fully functional pin and safety clasp. Circa 5.6cms wide. In superb condition with sharp detail. It is a pattern not often encountered as it incorporates the eagle in its design, and is even more unusual in that the eagle is facing to the left. The 'R' presumably a reference to the maker.
