West African Gold Coast Police Senior Officers Silver Plated and Enamel Match Pair of Facing Collar Badges, Kings Crown

A scarce pair of facing and matched collar badges to s a senior colonial police officer. Black felt backing cloths with two original copper loops to the reverse of each. Silver plated, but unmarked. Enamel intact but some scratches and light nibbles to the finish from service wear otherwise in very good condition. King's crown.

Renfrew et al Vol 2 No 1956 & 1957 refers (previous owner indicated to me that these are the collar badges actually featured in the book).
