Grenadier Guards George VI Gilt Orderlies Badge

A large gilt brass cast badge with three screw fittings complete with retaining nuts to the reverse. Very slight staining to the gilt otherwise in very good condition. Th gilt suggests this may have been the COs Orderly as more often encountered in brass (thanks to Sean for the information and photographic evidence of it being worn) The monogram looks more like the George VI pattern rather than the more overlapping monogram used during the reign of George V. Circa 8.2cms tall. Actual use confirmed in final photo of the COs Orderly wearing this badge, again thanks to Sean for this.
