WW1 New Zealand (NZ) Third Pattern Machine Gunners / Signallers / Specialists Reinforcements Brass Gilding Metal Cap Badge

A yellow gilt brass metal die struck cap badge with two flat connector style loops to the reverse. Circa 5cms tall. Not as well struck as it could have been and silver solder to lugs (possibly contemporary replacements as this is usually found with flat hexagonal lugs). RD no 875 to front on either side of the NZ. Worn with correspondingly small collar badges.

The specialists were trained as signallers and machine gunners.
