QVC Generic Militia / Volunteers / Yeomanry Pouch Badge Bi Metal

An eight pointed white metal star with the top most ray replaced with a brass Victorian crown. Three original screw posts with original brass retaining nuts. Circa 7.9cms tall and 6.3cms wide. Of two part construction with a garter and VR cypher to centre. The addition of the brass crown looks contemporary. Possibly also used as a shako plate given the size. A puzzle. Any information welcome.
