The Lancashire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Volunteers (PWV)) Large Cast Brass Bandsmans Pouch Badge
A large and heavy badge at circa Circa 7.9cm tall, cast in brass with two screw posts to the reverse. One tip of the bow of the laurel wreath at the base is missing otherwise in good condition and an impressive centre display piece. Worn 1958 - 1970.
The regiment was formed in 1958 by the amalgamation of the 1st Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment and the 1st Battalion, South Lancashire Regiment (The Prince of Wales's Volunteers).
On 25 March 1970, after a relatively brief existence, the regiment was amalgamated with the 1st Battalion, Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire), to form the 1st Battalion, Queen's Lancashire Regiment.
