8th (City of London) Battalion London Regiment (Post Office Rifles) White Metal Cap Badge

Die struck white metal other ranks cap badge in very good condition with original slider to the reverse.

In 1920, the 7th and 8th Battalions of the London Regiment merged to form the 7th City of London Regiment (Post Office Rifles) and the new Regiment retained the cap badge of the old 7th Battalion but took into wear as collar-badges miniatures of the cap badge of the old 8th (see my item 63645).
