WW2 4th Gurkha Rifles Cap Badge - Applied Blackened Kukri Handles

Indian made sand cast cap badge with two integral tombstone style lugs to the reverse with thin cotter pin. Well made and with separately applied blackened brass handles to simulate the wooden handles of the kukri. Some service wear. Transferred to the Indian Army with independence in 1947. Various battalions of the regiment saw service in WW2 in Burma and as Chindits as well as service in the Mediterranean arena. Allegedly a 'walking out version' made available in 1944 for private purchase. Happy to be corrected.
