1st Volunteer Battalion (Hallamshire) York and Lancaster Regiment Other Ranks Reversed Metals Cap Badge

A lovely example as worn by the 1st Hallamshire VB between 1897 - 1908 (type 1 without the scroll added). See Ivan Machin "A Guide to the badges of the York & Lancaster Regiment 1822 - 1968" Figure 78. With two dark toned lugs and braising holes behind both the brass rose and brass coronet, the rest of the badge in white metal. In very good condition.
