Malay Emergency Safe Conduct Pass Paper Chit (1950 - 1963)
A rare item, A5 size printed on one side on a greaseproof type paper with the first pattern flag of Malaya (only six red stripes and approved in 1950 until the design was modified to the flag of Malaysia in 1963 with an extra stripe and 14 points on the star). It offered the bearer safe conduct in English and this offer is repeated below in four other oriental / Malay languages. Pencil marks to middle right and one small tear along a crease line otherwise in very good condition.
The English text reads as follows:
"The bearer of this pass whishes to surrender. He is to be given good treatment, food, cigarettes and medical attention if required. He is to be taken as soon as possible to the nearest senior police officer."
