Royal Ulster Rifles (RUR) KD Slip on with Blue Colour Epaulette Ribbon Bar for D Company
A scarce Khaki Drill slip-on shoulder title with blue cloth ribbon bar indicating D company of the Royal Ulster Rifles, most probably worn with shirt sleeve order in Hong Kong and Korea in the 1950s. Brass shoulder title with lugs, has been blackened by has lost most of this finish. Sun faded to front, brighter to reverse. Scarce.
BoBD (Jon Mills) p395 refers for information relating to the company bars worn as epaulette ribbons and how the 1st Battalion of the Regiment was permitted to continue wearing these on joining the Airborne Forces, as follows:
