Die cast example with two original loops. In very good condition, with a dark toned silvered bell held in its right claw. The black finish to the front remains mainly intact. This pattern (without scroll) was worn during two periods of the Regiment's history. It was worn from 1908 until 1916 (new pattern with scroll sealed 1 October 1916) and again was sealed for wear 11th January 1952. No QEII pattern was issued (although there were collar badges with a QEII pattern crown - I would like to hear of anybody who wishes to dispose of the same on behalf of a customer) and the regiment was amalgamated to become the Queen's Own Lowland Yeomanry in 1956, so all in all a short lived badge.

I believe this badge to be from the 1908 - 1916 era as it came with some Imperial Yeomanry items which belonged to the same officer. See the following discussion for an image of an officer in 1911 wearing this badge:
