WW2 Economy Plastic General Service Buttons

A useful batch of 10 x British Army GENERAL SERVICE BUTTONS. This batch consists of 6 large (25mm) buttons and 4 medium buttons (19mm) - made from a type light brown plastic, fixed shanks and blank reverses. These buttons came out around late 1942 to save on brass which was needed for munitions. These were commonly found on greatcoats and ATS War Economy jackets and greatcoats. This batch are issued and used, but still have good detail and are in good condition.
