War Office Controlled Units Embroidered Cloth Formation Sign

A really posh example with a king's crown on red over black War Office formation sign with the Royal Crest to the centre in a wonderful bullion finish. Circa 5.5cm by 4.5cm. Officer or senior WO quality.

Introduced in 1946 for all units, schools and training establishments directly under War Office control - for example the Mons Officer Cadet School at Aldershot, the School of Artillery at Larkhill, the School of Military Engineering, etc.
