Royal Scots Greys ( RSG ) ( 2nd Dragoons ) Full Dress White Metal Busby Back Badge

Die struck white metal White Horse of Hanover as worn on the reverse of the full dress busby (see close up of Harry Payne postcard - listed for sale elsewhere). Two original and long staple style brass loops to the reverse, which have been nipped together. Circa 59mm wide and 40mm tall. Not to be confused with the NCO arm badge of the 5th Dragoon Guards (see below). There is also an interesting comparison of the two badges in Linklater & Dine on pages 66 and 67.
