Victorian Northamptonshire & Rutland Militia Officers Silver Plated Large Pattern Button
Circa 25mm in diameter, fixed shank, with maker marks POW feathers / Jennens & Co, London to the reverse. Silver plate is dark toned, minor service wear, but sharp detail. Worn circa 1855 - 1881. Presumably as England's smallest county, Rutland was unable to raise its own establishment of militia.
