WW1 Silver War Badge (SWB) to Pte Harrold Evans West Yorkshire Regiment / Labour Corps - PoW

WW1 Silver War Badge (SWB) impressed B134741 issued to Pte Harold Evans of the Labour Corps (Northern Command (N.C.L.C.)). An unmarked silver circlet inscribed 'For King And Empire Services Rendered' bearing crowned 'GRI' Imperial Cypher to voided centre. Looks like a professionally replaced pin otherwise silver dark toned and slight polishing to highpoints.

A print from the SWB (to be provided) confirms it was awarded to 254791 Pte Harold Evans, Labour Corps : N.C.L.C (Northern Command Labour Corps). However his MIC reveals much more of interest - formerly of the West Yorks Regiment and also noted as a Prisoner of War.

Enlisted 1th May 1915 as Private Regimental number 1284 in West Yorkshire Regiment, entered Egypt on 22nd December 1915.
Entitled to a 1914-15 Trio. Date of Discharge 11th December 1918 under para 392(XVi) (no longer fit for war service). MIC annotated "P of War". SWB issued 25th March 1919.
