WW2 Red Embroidered Wound Stripe on Khaki Panel - Authorised for wear by serving WW2 Army Personnel wounded in WW1 and other prior conflicts

In unissued condition with no moth or damage, a rare WW2 cloth item relating to service in earlier conflicts. The size of the stripe matches the WW1 wound stripes at circa 2 inches in length.

Mentioned but not illustrated in Badges on Battledress by Jon Mills on page 298. Only one could be worn irrespective of the number of wound stripes that the individual may have been entitled to wear in WW1.
