WW2 Royal Army Service Corps RASC Officers Forage Cap with Gilt & Enamel Forage Cap Badge, Corps Buttons, All GVI Cypher

A top quality black melton cloth cap with white crown and whiet pipe edge with its original matching gilt cap buttons on fixed shanks and both maker marked Gaunt London, and a fire gilt and enamel collar badge GVI cypher (as also worn on the Forage cap) with two original loops to the reverse and holes match those in the cap lining; secured with a cotter pin. Badge and cap in superb condition with no damage to finish or enamel. Original silk liner and velvet sweat band, minimal wear. Only small sign of damage I can find is at the very back of the cap where there is slight damage to the white felt piping where it meets the back of the cap. Does not detract.
