A Set of Monmouthshire Regiment 'In Memorium' Booklets for WW1 and WW2

Given the difference in years of production, 1923 for the First World War and 1951 for the Second World War version, these are remarkably similar in format and layout. 19 pages and 16 pages respectively, card covers.

The WW1 version has some minor spine wear, some light foxing and rusting to centre staples but otherwise a good clean tight copy with no annotations or page tears. Included is a 5 page history of the regiment in WW1 including a summary of casualties, commanding officers and decorations and awards. Over 27 Officers and 512 other ranks lost their lives in WW1 and their roll is included in the pamphlet.

The WW2 version is in better condition overall and has a sample of the regimental ribbon for the regiment as part of its front cover. It includes 4 page summary of the role played by the 2nd Battalion in WW2, and confirms 229 soldiers of the Regiment lost their lives in WW2. This roll appears in the pamphlet. A good clean tight copy with no annotations or page tears. Slight rusting to central staples.

Included is a leaflet republished from The Free Press of Monmouthshire which includes a printed group photo of the senior officers of the Regiment and the Bishop of Monmouth and the Vicar of Trevethin. This is slightly foxed but otherwise in good condition.

Please note I will not split the items, they deserve to stay together.
